B.L.E.N.D JurorsMARK BURGESS
Mark Burgess founded U+B Architecture and Design, a Minneapolis architectural firm, with his partner Paul Udris in 2003. Mark has over 25 years of experience as an architect on a diverse range of projects from small house remodels to the large commercial and institutional projects. Mark’s portfolio includes many residential remodels and additions in the Twin Cities area. Mark, a magna cum laude graduate of Rice University, lives in Southwest Minneapolis with his wife Diana and twin boys, Joseph and Tobias. MEG ARNOSTI, LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT Meg Arnosti is a Landscape Architect with Southview Design. She is passionate about creating customized landscapes that are suited to each client and their own special site. Meg has designed and overseen the installation of everything from small perennial gardens to large projects with new driveways, courtyards, walkways, fireplaces, waterfalls, underground drainage, patios, fences, pools and walls. Meg has a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Minnesota and is a Certified Nursery and Landscape Professional and licensed Landscape Architect. She lives in the Mac/Groveland neighborhood in St. Paul with husband, Don, and has three grown children. SAMUAL CHAPIN BROWN In 2004 Sam Brown founded BROWNTOWN_design, a digital media and production firm. BROWNTOWN_ has become a leading media company providing creative and distinct business solutions. From small nonprofits to Fortune 500 companies, they strive to provide the same level of creativity, ingenuity, and passion for each client, for each project, everyday. Sam received his Master in Fine Arts from Indiana University where he studied and taught printmaking media. His BA is from Colorado College. |

Megan Kaplan is a lifestyle writer and editor based in Minneapolis. Her portfolio includes stories on design, food, fashion, travel, etiquette, and parenting for national publications such as The New York Times, Martha Stewart Living, Real Simple, Travel + Leisure, and Town + Country. Locally, Megan is a contributing editor at Mpls St. Paul magazine, and has provided creative consulting and corporate writing work for 3M, General Mills, and Target. LYNNE JENSEN NELSON Lynne Jensen Nelson is president of Natural Built Home. Natural Built Home was founded as a one-stop shop for the safest and most sustainable building and finishing materials. Their mission is to make eco-friendly products accessible to everyone: homeowners, contractors, architects, and designers. They continue to research and seek out the best environmentally-friendly building materials, focusing on factors of sustainability, recycled content, low to no toxicity, and locally or American made.
